John,

Now you're scaring me! Had to rush to the pen cabinet
and pull out my Duofold International Pearl and Black
and check it against my matching pencil.  I too use
Penman sapphire but in the converter.  I can't visibly
see any degradation in the color of the barrel or cap.
I do keep it in it's wooden box in the cabinet when it
is not in rotation and in a leather pen case when
inked and not in my pocket. The pencil sits out on my
desk all of the time ready for Crossword and Sudoku
puzzles.

Anyone else with any degredation of a modern Duofold
Pearl and Black?
