David,
You still don't understand the West Coast of Canada.
It may dip but it won't dive unless the world goes into deep
depression.
Canada's banks are a little different also perhaps.
As long as they don't get too greedy....hmmm.
Now, Vancouver pen shops are up against a whole lot of
competition ,but there are ways to stay in business.
I ran a busness for over 32 years and went from 3 competitors
in my city of 200,000 people to 26 competitors in less than
4 years.That was back in 1977 to 1981. I did okay and I sold
my business and retired.
The new owner is doing better than I was.
She is younger ,full of new ideas, creative and honest.
It can be done, you just have to find ways to do it.
Pen stores are much the same as my business, art and picture framing.
Do as a pen store friend of mine does in Victoria, use the internet.
Let the online customers find out who you are.Give them good value
and great service.
Cheers Glenn
Now lets move on.
